International Students in the United States
Students from various countries around the world choose to or attend college in the United States, and it is increasing every year. However, many international students feel the experience does not live up to their expectations, and they often experience segregation, discrimination, and intolerance.
Personal interviews with international students attending college in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa have raised concerns about how our higher learning community relates to other cultures . Although some students have told very positive stories about their experiences, many international students feel quite negative about how they have been treated during their time at American colleges and universities.
Well this is a prominent issue, measures have been taken by international and American students and also by the universities themselves. Still, more can be done.
